SENIOR HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC/ SERVICE TECHNICIAN (Diesel Systems) Location: Asheville, NC Salary: $30–35/hr- commensurate with experience About the Role: We’re looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our high-performing team. In this role, you’ll work on diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems across skid steers, excavators, and other heavy equipment. If you have strong diagnostic skills and a passion for tackling complex repairs, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career in a supportive shop environment. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and theory-based repairs Conduct service and maintenance on skid steers, excavators, and other heavy equipment Handle a full range of repairs, from preventative maintenance to major system overhauls Support team operations in a smaller but well-staffed shop environment Required Qualifications: 5–10 years’ experience in heavy equipment or diesel service (skid steers, excavators, etc.) Proven diagnostics, electrical, and theory expertise Ability to complete all types of repairs independently Heavy equipment background preferred, but strong truck shop diagnostics experience will be considered Familiarity with hydraulics is a plus, but not required Why Join Us?
