Job Title: AV Project EngineerJob Category: Audio Visual Engineering / Technical Project ManagementLocation: Remote (U.S.-based) with 50% TravelContract Type: 6-Month Contract-to-HireRecruiting Partner: TEKsystemsOverview:We are seeking a technically strong AV Project Engineer to lead and support the integration and commissioning of enterprise-grade audio-visual systems in corporate environments. This role blends project oversight with hands-on technical work, making it ideal for someone with a background in AV service and system implementation who is comfortable managing projects and performing on-site commissioning.This is a hybrid position with approximately 50% travel across the U.S., supporting installations, testing, and client-facing coordination. All travel expenses are covered.Key Responsibilities:Lead AV system implementations from planning through deploymentPerform hands-on integration and commissioning of AV systemsCoordinate installation teams and ensure project milestones are metReview and validate AV system schematics, BOMs, and technical documentationProvide technical leadership on AV control systems (Crestron, Extron, QSC, etc.)Collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure seamless AV integrationConduct site visits for system testing, troubleshooting, and client handoversMaintain documentation and ensure compliance with AV industry standardsAct as a technical liaison between stakeholders, vendors, and internal teamsStay current with AV-over-IP technologies and emerging platformsPreferred Background:Strong experience in AV service delivery, integration, and commissioningHands-on experience with AV control systems and IP-based AV solutionsExperience working in corporate AV environments (e.g., conference rooms, executive spaces, collaboration areas)Prior experience in a project engineering or technical management roleExcellent communication, coordination, and client-facing skillsComfortable managing multiple projects and prioritiesWillingness to travel frequently and work in dynamic environmentsNice-to-Have Skills:Experience with AV system design and layoutProficiency in AutoCAD or similar design toolsAbility to interpret architectural and MEP drawingsFamiliarity with building automation systems and AV-over-IP platformsCertifications (Encouraged but Not Required):CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)CTS-D (Certified Technology Specialist – Design)Audiovisual Network Professional® CertificationAdditional Details:Work Environment: Systems IntegratorTravel Requirement: 50% travel across the U.S. — candidates must be comfortable with frequent travel; all expenses are coveredLocation Flexibility: Can sit anywhere in the U.S.Salary: Please include salary expectations with your applicationEmployee Value Proposition: Opportunity to lead and commission high-impact AV projects for enterprise environmentsBusiness Drivers: Supporting the delivery of AV services as part of a broader workforce solutions offeringPay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
