Job Info Job Location: Grand Forks, ND Route Type: Local Type of Assignment: Direct Hire Hours Per Shift: 10 Hours Hours Per Week: 50 Hours Shift Start Time: 08:00 am Working Days: Mon-Fri Transmission Type: Automatic Job Requirements Additional Information We are seeking Diesel Mechanics in Grand Folks, ND. This job is offering $25-$36/hr Depending On Experience. If you are skilled with your hands and passionate about serving customers right, you will be an excellent fit as a truck mechanic at our local shop that prides itself on outstanding customer service, accurate workmanship, and willing up for hard work. We are looking for the right candidate who will help us achieve our goal of company growth. As a member of our team, you will get to interact with customers to figure out what they need, put your mechanical skills to use and repair trucks and various types of trailers. This is an exceptional position for someone with a positive attitude, excellent technical skills, and the desire to succeed. You will work directly with our Shop Foreman, Service Writers, Parts Manager, and the Fleet Maintenance Manager. Job Information: Senior Technician can Start between $32-$36/hr. Entry to Junior Level Techs start at $25-$28/hr Perform routine maintenance on trucks, such as checking batteries and changing oil to ensure proper vehicle running Inspect various parts of trucks and trailers, including brake systems, wheel bearings and steering mechanisms to ensure they are in the proper condition to operate effectively Use different tools and equipment, such as pressure gauges, pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, screwdrivers, hoists, and jacks, to repair trucks while constantly utilizing safety precautions Diagnose malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing using devises such as motor analyzers, handheld computers, and chassis charts to determine how to address problems Test drive vehicles to ensure they are running properly and to find issues to determine what the solution will be Replace parts, bearings, and gears as needed and repair vehicle cooling and heating systems Measure vehicle emissions to ensure they are in the proper limits Ensure parts conform to factory specifications by inspecting and verifying clearances and dimensions Job Requirements: Must own and maintain basic hand tools High school diploma or equivalent Must have basic mechanic abilities and knowledge of basic tools Must be able to lift heavy equipment and parts regularly Excellent customer service skills, the ability to communicate professional with clients and support staff Must be comfortable with working in awkward positions or cramped spaces Must be willing to learn our systems and practices We are willing to train the right individual who is mechanically inclined Preferred Technical certification or degree Experience working with diagnostic computers Previous experience as a mechanic Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office To Apply: Apply Now or call Dominique @ 205-775-7537 d24ad0b8-823f-4e68-a892-2986ccdf7392
