This is a position based near either El Segundo, North Texas, Aurora, Florida or the Northeast.  The candidate will be responsible for provisioning, configuration and support of software tools for Engineering use across Raytheon.This will be a key team member helping the organization deliver service excellence around the following activities: gaining efficiencies in provisioning Systems Engineering applications; helping program teams effectively use Systems Engineering tools; installation support and compliance hardening; tool migrations; troubleshooting tool related problems; tailoring tools to specific program needs; supplier engagement for roadmaps and issue resolution; and identifying and documenting Systems Engineering Solutions best practices. You’ll gain valuable experience and first-hand tool knowledge in this agile group.What You Will DoManage deployments, upgrades and support for Systems Engineering tools including testing, data backups, compliance, tool integrations & configurationsApply technical expertise in Systems Engineering to engage with programs on the implementation of Systems Engineering solutionsDeploy desktop Systems Engineering solutions to programsIdentify, document, and champion best practices and improvements which help increase the efficiency of our software deployment and supportWork with program Engineers to plan and implement migrations off legacy Systems Engineering applications to modern toolsDevelop technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativityQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.Experience with Agile or Model Based Engineering practices, tools, and methodsAdministration experience with Windows and LinuxScripting and automation experienceQualifications We PreferDegree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)Experience in the application of engineering tools/solutions in two or more of the following Systems and Software Engineering capability areas: Architecture/Modeling, Math & Analysis, Modeling & Simulation, Model Based Systems Engineering, & Advanced Analysis & TestDetailed working knowledge of Math & Analysis tools (i.e. Matlab) or Modeling & Simulation tools (i.e. Systems Toolkit (STK), MAK or ModelCenter) understanding of data center and cloud-based hosting architecturesSystems, Software, and IV&V Engineering Processes and Integrated Product Development Process (IPDP), best practices, and work instructions expertiseWhat We OfferOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
