We partner with our Nurses at TriStar Centennial Medical Center!Job Summary and QualificationsJob Summary and QualificationsThe Emergency Room Float PoolNurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.The RNutilizestherapeutic communication in daily practice,maintainsa safe therapeutic environment, andidentifiesnursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient.This rolealsoplans individualized patient care whileutilizingan interdisciplinary approach,participatesin performance improvement activities, provides care,and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospitals mission and vision statement.When acting inthechargenurserole,RNsare responsible forday-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a therapeutic environment.Make staff assignments based on patient need,acuityand the skill of the staff. Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff.Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with physician, staff or patient issues.What you will do in this role:Assess plans and evaluate thepatientscare needs and will carry out physician orders.Administerprescribed medications,changesdressings,cleanswounds,monitorsvital signs.Monitor,record,and communicate patient condition asappropriate utilizingcomputerized documentation systems.Instruct and educate patients and families aspart of partof a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.What qualifications you will need:Graduate from an accredited school of nursingrequiredCurrent Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Tennessee Board of Nursing or compact staterequiredCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS)requiredAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)requiredwithin 6 months of hire2 yearsof clinical nursing experience in an emergency room is requiredBenefitsTriStar Centennial Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
