Home Loan Specialist IIThe Home Loan Specialist II serves as a key member of therestructuring team, functioning as a Loan Processor responsible for ensuringcompliance with investor and loan guidelines. This role requires strongattention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to assess creditconditions accurately.You will review loans to ensure they reach final approval byaddressing guideline failures, reviewing documentation, and clearing orrequesting conditions. The role also includes verifying system data for AUSaccuracy. In essence, this team operates as the “fix‑it” group—resolvingcomplex issues for underwriting, Title, Closing, and client management acrossConventional, Jumbo, FHA, VA, USDA, and Non‑QM loans.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and process loan applications, ensuring all required conditions are met before moving forward.Pause processing when credit checks reveal issues or when specific conditions are not satisfied.Review and rework loan applications to meet investor guidelines.Ensure compliance with investor requirements, particularly regarding Debt‑to‑Income (DTI) and Loan‑to‑Value (LTV) ratios.Collaborate with internal teams to maintain adherence to regulatory and investor standards.QualificationsThe ideal candidate demonstrates strong learning ability,organization, resourcefulness, and thorough note‑taking skills.Preferred backgrounds include:Prior experience as a loan processor or junior underwriter (familiarity with tax returns and bank statements).Recent graduates eager to learn and grow within the mortgage industry.Candidates with experience in insurance, tax, or operational roles.Pay: $26 per hour#westpriority26Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorpark, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
