They leverage technical knowledge of manufacturing capabilities, product technologies, factory requirements and business processes to establish and execute the manufacturing plan and influence technical program decisions to support the overall program value stream.Typical Responsibilities Include:Participation in manufacturing and test requirements developmentDesign for manufacturing activitiesManufacturing process development and factory capabilities analysis to ensure factory readiness and improve product producibilityAs a Principal Manufacturing Development Engineer, you’ll lead and coordinate projects and improvements across the extended value streams and will develop influential relationships with your internal stakeholders.Your main responsibilities will include:Project management across various factories and cross functional teamsRepresent Operations in program and customer meetings when appropriateCoordinating the development of Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs.Providing technical input and peer review to engineering designs and design changes. Providing technical guidance and problem solving to factory engineerApplying manufacturing engineering skillsets across the extended value stream to resolve constraints and improve process and product designsOther responsibilities may Include:Serving as a manufacturing and producibility authority within the programRecommending process and procedural changes to ensure that objectives in the areas of cost, efficiency and quality are metDesigning, controlling and improving the producibility of products through collaboration with a multi-disciplined teamIdentifying and resolving constraints across the programParticipating in corrective action investigationsThis job is posted as ONSITE and is based at Raytheon’s Tucson, AZ facility.Qualifications You Must Have:Typically requires: Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
