It specializes in helping critically ill patients regain independence in breathing, speaking, eating, walking, and thinking. Services provided include care for cardiac conditions, infectious diseases, medically complex cases, neurologic conditions, pulmonary and ventilator liberation, renal disorders, wound care, and brain injury. long term acute care recovery patients ltac ICU or ICU experience needed vents and trach experience patient length of stay is average 28 days. Critical Illness Unit: · Ratio: 1:5, can be lower but max is 1:5 - they try to Keep ICU to 1-4 · Vent/Trach required and · Critical Drips titration required (Dopamine/Typical ICU drips) · ACLS/BLS required by start date.
