Teller / Relationship Banker (Floating position)Location: Troy, MI Employment Type: Direct Hire, Full-TimeAbout the RoleWe are seeking a customer-focused Teller / Relationship Banker (floater position) to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with the public, handling financial transactions, and building trusted relationships. The Teller/Relationship Banker plays a key role in delivering outstanding service, promoting financial products, and identifying solutions that support members’ short- and long-term financial needs. This opportunity is open to candidates with prior teller experience as well as those coming from retail or other customer-facing roles with strong cash-handling and sales experience. Schedule & HoursMonday–Friday: 8:45 AM – 5:15 PMRotating Saturdays: Every other Saturday, 8:45 AM – 1:15 PM When a Saturday is worked, a partial weekday off is provided that same weekLunch: 30–45 minutes, based on branch needsReimbursement up to .70 cents a mile.Metro Detroit Branches What You’ll DoProcess a high volume of financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, checks, wires, and loan paymentsAccurately update account information and document member interactions in the core systemBuild relationships by identifying opportunities to recommend and cross-sell financial products and servicesEducate members on available products and services to support their financial goalsMaintain professionalism while handling sensitive and confidential informationCollaborate with internal departments to research and resolve member questions or concernsComplete operational support tasks such as daily reports, scanning, and document processingEnsure compliance with all policies, procedures, and applicable regulations Required QualificationsMinimum 6 months of similar or related experience Previous teller experience preferred; retail experience with cash handling and sales is also acceptableHigh School Diploma or GEDCash-handling experience in a retail or financial settingStrong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm and professionalWillingness and ability to upsell and promote products as part of the roleExcellent oral and written communication skillsBasic math skills and comfort using calculatorsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with Microsoft Word and OutlookDependable, eager to learn, and committed to showing up consistentlyAbility to be bonded and obtain Notary designation in the future Preferred (Nice to Have)Experience in a credit union, banking, wealth management, or insurance environmentPrior exposure to loan support, collections, or banking operationsExperience with core banking systems (e.g., Symitar or similar)College coursework or degreeStrong professional presence and attention to detail What We’re Looking ForWe’re seeking someone who demonstrates integrity, credibility, and professionalism in every interaction.
