How you'll make an impact in this role Ascension Illinois is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Nurse Practitioner for our Ob/Gyn Department. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Illinois to provide medical services to patients. Position Highlights: 100% outpatient 60% Gyne 40% Ob See 10-15 patients per day on average in clinic Practice is doing 8-10 deliveries per month on average Clinic located on hospital campus MA support Excellent office support staff Beautiful hospital setting over looking Lake Michigan Great city location Responsibilities: In collaboration with a physician, provide for the expansion of individualized primary healthcare services by diagnosing and treating certain acute or chronic health conditions. Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview and examination. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic studies. Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care. Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources. Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources. Document delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred. Education: Master's or Doctorate of Science in Nursing or Midwifery or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.
