The opportunity to serve as a Medical Director for a Community Based Outpatient Clinic VA Primary Care Clinic and work with a dynamic, collaborative, and engaged local leadership team to manage high quality & efficient health care on site. At VA Palo Alto Health Care System, Livermore VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic, we stress the principles of servant leadership; the Medical Director will benefit from training and gain experience in effective communication, data management, and process improvement for success on the front line. Managerial duties will include staff deployment & leave administration, human resources management & labor relations, professional practice review & evaluation, and planning & implementation around existing system imperatives. The Medical Director will also have freedom and support to explore and develop or tailor new initiatives and projects to meet service performance metrics and/or health system strategic goals at their sites. The role will afford regular mentorship and interaction with Service level & Executive Leadership, including daily huddling, recurring site and system wide meetings, and championship of one or more broad performance metrics. The Medical Director will have a reduced clinical load commensurate with the size/complexity of the site and the number of staff reports. Additional reductions may be considered for additional skills and work in various areas of key interest such as whole-health deployment. Benefits and Features Expected Salary range from $303,077 to $325,000 (negotiable based on candidate's qualifications, credentials and experience). Work Schedule: Full-time. Schedule will be determined by supervisor.
