Location: Michigan Preferred Job Description: Experience Required: 15+ years (with strong technical delivery background) We are seeking a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead the delivery of modern, web and services-based applications. This role blends technical depth with project leadership, ensuring that engineering decisions, architecture, and DevSecOps practices align with delivery timelines, budgets, and business outcomes. The TPM is expected to manage schedules, risks, and stakeholders, while also being hands-on enough to contribute to technical discussions on architecture, cloud deployments, CI/CD, and observability. Key Responsibilities Project Management: Own and manage end-to-end project delivery requirements to deployment to production support. Define and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Track and report progress, risks, and issues to leadership and stakeholders. Drive Agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) to maintain delivery rhythm. Coordinate across cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, DevOps, business stakeholders). Manage dependencies, risks, and vendor relationships to ensure smooth delivery. Technical Delivery Leadership: Partner with the Technical Architect to align delivery with the architectural vision. Actively participate in technical discussions architecture, microservices, API design, DevSecOps pipelines, cloud deployments, observability. Ensure delivery teams follow best practices for coding, security, and performance. Oversee CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows, ensuring automation and quality gates are enforced. Champion observability and operational readiness logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting built into delivery. Serve as the technical escalation point for project issues related to architecture, infrastructure, or tooling. Define and track technical KPIs alongside delivery metrics (e.g., release frequency, uptime, defect density). Qualifications: 15+ years of combined technical and project management experience. Prior background in software engineering or solution architecture before transitioning into project leadership. Strong technical understanding of modern application architectures (cloud-native, microservices, containerized, API-first). Hands-on experience managing cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Familiarity with CI/CD, DevSecOps, and observability tools (Jenkins/GitHub Actions, Terraform, Prometheus, ELK, Grafana, Datadog, etc.). Strong grasp of Agile/Scrum with the ability to manage project plans, budgets, and stakeholder expectations. Excellent communication and leadership skills able to speak both the language of engineers and business executives. Nice to Have: Certifications: PMP, SAFe/Agile. Experience in enterprise-scale digital transformation or modernization projects. Knowledge of SRE practices and operational SLAs. Experience of using AI based techniques in SDLC
