Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Location: Fully Onsite - Greater South Bend, IN Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 Position Overview We are seeking a mission-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team and provide strategic financial direction, operational excellence, and hands-on execution. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in nonprofit finance and construction project management , with the ability to collaborate across departments and present clear financial insights to the Board. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves leadership role, requiring a balance of strategic vision and practical execution. Key Responsibilities Lead all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and preparation of accurate financial statements for Board review. Provide strategic financial leadership for capital projects, investments, and cost structure management . Partner with leadership teams to analyze pricing, margins, and overall financial performance to drive organizational sustainability. Oversee compliance, internal controls, and risk management aligned with nonprofit and construction industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure sound financial decisions that align with organizational mission and objectives. Mentor and develop accounting/finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leadership. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred. Minimum 7-10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with a strong background in nonprofit finance . Experience managing construction projects, capital investments, and complex budgets . Proficiency in cost structure analysis, pricing strategies, and margin reporting. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and present effectively to the Board.
