Billing Specialist - Havre de Grace, MD About the Company and Billing Specialist Opportunity: CFS is partnering with a manufacturing client to hire a Billing Specialist to assist their accounting team on a contractual basis For the right candidate, this role can become a permanent, long term position Small team oriented group of 7. Office is located in a quiet residential neighborhood with easy and free parking Schedule: Fully on-site in Havre de Grace, MD . Hours can be flexible but ideally are Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00. Reports to the Accounting Manager Salary: $45,000-$50,000 Job Duties for the Billing Specialist: Prepare and process a high volume of invoices (100-150 daily) Record and apply customer payments, including checks and deposits Communicate with dispatch to confirm and resolve order details Perform basic research to identify and correct billing or payment discrepancies Create several types of invoices as required by business needs Assist with accounts receivable collections and accounts payable processing; cross-train across functions for team support Maintain accurate records of billing, payments, and deposits Qualifications for the Billing Specialist: 1+ years of accounting/billing/data entry experience required QuickBooks Desktop/Enterprise experience is a plus, but not required Basic computer literacy required, including ability to navigate email and Excel Willingness to learn and ask questions.
