Our client, a one of the nation's largest privately held construction firms, is seeking a Temporary to Permanent Receptionist for their brand new Port Washington, Long Island Headquarters. The role requires this person to be onsite 5 days a week from 8:30am-5pm. Responsibilities : Welcome and guide visitors to the appropriate areas within the company, ensuring a detail-oriented and friendly experience. Answer and direct all phone calls while maintaining professionalism. Screen calls and take messages. Assist with mail and deliveries, including sorting, distributing, and scheduling courier pickups as needed. Manage and distribute incoming mail and correspondence, as well as coordinate express mail services such as FedEx. Maintaining a clean and organized reception area that reflects the company's commitment to high standards. Assist with clerical tasks including photocopying, faxing, filing, and document collation. Provide administrative support to all team members as necessary. Facilitate the ordering, receiving, and distribution of office supplies to maintain inventory levels. Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. At least 2-3+ years of experience in a receptionist or similar administrative role. Presentable, personable, professional, organized Strong attention to detail Bilingual Spanish is a plus Compensation: Pays up to $24/hr while temping.
