Job Title: Payroll Manager Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid - 2-3 days on-site per week) Overview: We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive payroll expertise, and experience with Workday payroll systems. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee all aspects of payroll processing for multi-state employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws. Lead, mentor, and develop payroll staff to ensure high performance and professional growth. Partner with HR, Finance, and other business leaders to resolve payroll-related issues and ensure seamless operations. Maintain payroll records and prepare reports for audits, compliance, and financial reviews. Ensure compliance with wage, tax, and overtime laws, as well as internal policies. Collaborate with IT and HR teams to maximize the functionality and efficiency of Workday payroll modules. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline payroll operations and enhance employee experience. Serve as the primary contact for payroll-related inquiries and issue resolution. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred. 5+ years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and compliance requirements. Workday payroll experience strongly desired. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally. Work Environment: Hybrid role based in Pittsburgh, PA. Typical schedule requires 2-3 days per week in the office, with flexibility based on business needs.
