Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Work Model: Hybrid - 3 days at home, 2 days onsite in Harrisburg, PA Travel: Limited, mostly within Dauphin County Position Overview We are seeking a Risk Management Specialist to join the Critical Incident Management Unit, Division of Participant Supports within the Office of Long-Term Living (OLTL). This role ensures effective oversight of Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) , focusing on participant safety, risk mitigation, and compliance with protective service requirements. You will analyze risk, review incidents, and support data-driven improvements to enhance participant health, safety, and welfare. Key Responsibilities Conduct case and record reviews to provide consultation and technical support to MCOs, Service Coordination Entities (SCEs), providers, and state agencies . Act as a liaison between protective service agencies and internal risk management staff to coordinate investigations and corrective actions. Manage notifications and reports of need related to participant safety. Support mortality reviews by gathering case documentation, coordinating with clinical staff, and tracking outcomes. Perform trend analyses of incidents and mortality data; compare results with national and state health statistics. Develop and recommend preventive training programs based on data findings. Ensure that all activities align with Community Health Choices (CHC) , Fee-for-Service (FFS) programs, and Money Follows the Person (MFP) initiatives .
