Location: Remote Duration: 06 months contract Position Summary The Intake I (IQA) Associate handles high-volume in-bound calls from members, providers, and others, delivering professional phone support through the criteria-based prior authorization process. Responsibilities include accurate and timely documentation of all requests, transferring clinical questions or judgment calls to nurses or pharmacists, and assisting with other duties such as outbound calls and mailbox monitoring as assigned by leadership.. Key Responsibilities Handle in-bound calls professionally, providing assistance per prior authorization guidelines Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation of requests Transfer clinical questions or judgment calls to the nurse or pharmacist Perform outbound calls and respond to mailbox inquiries as needed Adapt to changes in a dynamic work environment, demonstrating flexibility and attention to detail Project a professional business image in all communication Read, interpret, and apply pharmacy/medical terminology, technical procedures, and governmental regulations Identify and solve practical problems, demonstrating a sense of urgency and proactive problem-solving Meet quality and production standards consistently Learn complex material confidently and demonstrate intellectual curiosity to ensure accuracy Required Qualifications 0-3 years of related experience in prior authorization, data entry, or customer service Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with Windows-based systems and general computer navigation Ability to adapt to change, work under pressure, and maintain confidentiality Strong organizational and telephone skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business correspondence and technical instructions Preferred Qualifications Healthcare industry experience Call center experience (minimum 6 months) Remote work experience (minimum 6 months) Education High School Diploma or GED required Associate's degree in business, Accounting, or equivalent work experience preferred About US Tech Solutions: US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
