Our client is a global leader in manufacturing power supplies and chargers for the world's top technology companies. They are expanding operations in Arlington, TX and seeking skilled Automation Technicians to support their high-tech manufacturing environment. Position Overview The Automation Technician will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of automated equipment used in production. This role ensures manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and up time by supporting robotics, PLCs, conveyors, vision systems, and other automation technologies within our facility. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair automated manufacturing equipment, including robotics, PLCs, sensors, conveyors, and control systems. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues in automation systems. Support process improvements by implementing upgrades or modifications to existing equipment. Assist engineering teams with equipment programming, calibration, and integration. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance, repairs, and modifications. Ensure compliance with safety standards and support a clean, safe work environment. Provide technical support for production staff and train operators on automation equipment as needed. Qualifications Associate degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of hands-on experience working with automation or advanced manufacturing systems. Proficiency with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar), robotics, and HMI systems. Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices is a plus.
