The Materials & Logistics Clerk is the single point of accountability for all material-related transactions, including receiving, inspection, storage, inventory control, internal distribution, packaging, documentation, and outbound shipping. This role ensures accuracy, conformance to specifications, traceability, and timely movement of materials throughout the facility, supporting both production and customer delivery requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receiving & Inspection Receive and inspect incoming materials and parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications. Verify that quantities received match purchase orders and packing lists. Perform dock-to-stock inspections when necessary. Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all incoming materials. Inventory Management & Internal Distribution Accurately count, record, and relieve parts from inventory (by hand or weight as required). Maintain proper documentation for traceability on all material movements. Ensure correct parts are pulled, labeled, and issued to production with proper traveler information. Assist in maintaining tool crib and related material supplies. Monitor and requisition packing and shipping supplies to ensure adequate stock levels. Shipping & Logistics Prepare jobs for shipment, prioritizing based on delivery requirements. Package parts according to specifications to protect integrity and meet customer requirements. Verify serial numbers and documentation accuracy before shipping. Prepare shipping documentation, including work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders. Ship products via carriers such as UPS and FedEx, ensuring timely and accurate paperwork completion. Deliver and transport materials internally to departments as needed. General Accountability Act as the single owner responsible for end-to-end accuracy and timeliness of all material-related transactions (receiving, inventory, internal movement, and shipping). Support continuous improvement in material handling, accuracy, and documentation. Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor. Job Requirements High School Diploma/GED required. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong math, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet material and logistics demands. Experience in shipping, receiving, inspecting, and inventory management in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
