Position Details: Position Type: Full Time Job Location: Creedmoor, NC Shift: Dayshift, M-F Pay rate: $17 - $22/Hour Benefits: Eligible for complete benefits package after 90 days Job Summary The function of the CNC operator is to operate the CNC machines with supervision by the CNC Lead. The operator will retrieve raw materials as needed, program and operate the machine(s), separate parts, and deburr parts as needed. Essential Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities • Setup and operate CNC machine • Meet tolerance requirements by using supplied gauges • Assist with regular maintenance • Use safe procedures to perform all tasks Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Minimum Qualifications • High School Degree/GED or equivalent • Experienced in the use of hand and power tools • Basic math skills for machining application Preferred Qualifications • 1+ years of CNC experience • Ability to effectively communicate with all facets of the workforce • Basic problem solving ability Accountabilities • Machines are operated in a safe and efficient manner • Assignments are completed in a timely manner • Products are produced within the quality standards set forth for this position Terms of Employment This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position. Hours The general hours shall be either first shift or second shift. First shift operates Monday-Friday, 6:45am to 3:15pm with a one-half hour break for lunch. Second shift operates Monday-Friday, 3:30pm - midnight with a one-half hour break for lunch. Other paid breaks are included for each shift. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. Work is regularly performed in a warehouse environment. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to stand, and/or walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with arms or hands.
