Biologist II- Bioanalysis

Duration: 12 months contract Description: The Protein Science group within Biologics and Genetic Medicine seeks a talented scientist to develop advanced and robust LC-MS analytical methods for the bioanalysis of various molecular formats, such as peptides and proteins. The successful candidate will develop and implement innovative, high-resolution mass spectrometry-based methods for peptide mapping and intact protein analysis. Responsibilities: Sample preparation for mass spectrometry and other related analytical techniques, such as Western blotting, SEC-MALS, ELISA, and spectroscopic methods . The candidate will also maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments, including biological sample extraction systems, HPLC, and LC-MS. Top skill requirements: Basic understanding of LC-MS, SEC-MALS, Western blotting and other protein characterization techniques. Sample handling and preparation of sample for peptide mapping and proteomics. Basic instrument operation and maintenance. Documentation: Accurate record-keeping of experiments and results. Data analysis and interpretation of the data. Experience: 3-5 years. Education: Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree preferred.
