1st Shift A Class - Wastewater Treatment Tech III NC

Responsibilities EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED: • High School Diploma or GED required. • 3 -5 years Water Treatment Experience • Forklift certified or ability to obtain • Hazwoper certified or ability to obtain • Waste Water certified or ability to obtain • Microsoft Windows and Microsoft office (including Excel) Purpose: Position performs wastewater treatment duties for advanced paint systems, converting used water into an effluent that may be utilized for other purposes. Responsibilities: * Titrates all chemical tanks • Tops off tanks and adjusts as needed • Checks all temps • Cleans filter presses and vessels • Detacks paint waste as needed • Batches treat chemical tanks as needed • Performs metals analysis daily • Prepares samples for shipment - Ensures procedures are followed (ie; iceing down, clean jars, samples are properly drawn, etc) • Analyzes E-coat tanks • Transports and labels all hazardous waste • Collects and reports all hazardous waste data to the environmental coordinator • Maintains inventory of all pretreatment and e-coat chemicals • Monitors system continuously during operating hours • Maintains analyte system • Maintains daily log on system status, GPD processed, concentrations, and metal levels found in test • Daily communication with vendors (ie; Plymouth Tech, Chemetall, BASF, PPG, GESI, etc) • Safety and 5S responsibility • Change, clean, calibrate pH and conductivity probes • Maintains and operates D/I water system • Maintains the Oberlin filter press, change filter media, etc Benefits Altec offers a competitive salary that rewards performance and dedication, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes: Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Program Retirement 401(k) Traditional or Roth Program Options with Company Match Vacation and Holidays Parental Leave Short Term and Long Term Disability Leave Flexible Spending Accounts Tuition Assistance Program Employee Assistance and Mental Health/Substance Abuse Program Life Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance Supplemental Insurance including Hospital Indemnity, Critical Illness and Accident Insurance Additional Wellness Programs and Rewards Available Why Join Altec?
