Rack Assembly Technician (Full-time/Direct Hire Opportunity) Location: Deerfield Beach, FL (Onsite Only) Compensation: $70,000-$100,000 annually (flexible based on experience) About the Role SNI Technology is seeking a highly skilled Rack Assembly Technician to join our client's team onsite in Deerfield Beach, FL. This is a hands-on lab role that requires precision, attention to detail, and proven experience across all aspects of racking, stacking, cabling, soldering, and hardware configuration. Key Responsibilities Racking & Installation: Mount, install, and secure servers, switches, routers, radios, and other rack-mounted components in 19" EIA racks. Power Distribution: Install and connect PDUs, circuit breakers, and UPS systems. Structured Cabling: Route, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a cables per TIA/EIA standards. Fiber Optics: Install, splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables (single-mode & multi-mode) using OTDR and light meters. Cable Management: Organize, label, and neatly route data, ethernet, fiber optic, COAX, RF, and power cables. Hardware Configuration: Connect and verify data, RF, and power connections; perform initial device light-off and configuration. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, cabling, and connectivity issues. Technical Execution: Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions; follow company procedures and directives. Quality & Maintenance: Test finished products for defects, maintain tools and equipment, track inventory, and keep a clean workspace. Cable/Fiber Routing: Ensure all cabling and fiber installations are completed to the highest standards for long-term maintainability. Qualifications & Requirements Demonstrated hands-on experience with racking, stacking, cabling, and hardware installation. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds . Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work onsite full-time in Deerfield Beach, FL
