About the Company & Overview of the Payroll Specialist Role: Our client is a well known manufacturing company in Severn, MD. Due to a recent promotion, they are looking to hire a reliable and personable Payroll Specialist to join their team The Payroll Specialist role will start on a contractual basis. For the right candidate, this position can become permanent Schedule: 7-4 or 8-5 M-F. Position is 100% in office in Severn, MD. They are flexible to do some work from home days if needed. Candidates must be able to start work between 7am and 8am Salary: $52,000 - $60,000 Job Duties of the Payroll Specialist: Process weekly payroll for ~500 employees across multiple business entities Onboard new employees, and handle employee records and i9 documents Handling changes in direct deposit information Assisting with yearly reviews Support the benefits department by conducting audits as needed Generate payroll reports for management Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist: 3+ years' payroll experience required Experience using Paycom or similar system highly preferred Proficiency with Excel required
