Overview of the Senior Revenue Accountant role: Perform monthly revenue close processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis. Prepare and review monthly revenue reports for management. Process revenue distributions to royalty and working interest owners. Reconcile revenue accounts, suspense accounts, and royalty owner accounts. Analyze production and sales volumes to ensure accuracy in operating revenue reporting. Prepare and file state and federal regulatory reports, including Texas General Land Office (GLO) reporting. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for oil & gas revenue, including severance tax filings and production reporting. Research and resolve revenue-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with land, production, and operations teams to ensure accurate data flow. Assist with audits, including preparing supporting documentation and responding to auditor requests. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy. Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Revenue Accountant: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3+ years of oil & gas revenue accounting experience, preferably in the upstream sector. Strong understanding of oil & gas operating revenue , production, sales, and revenue distribution processes. Experience with GLO reporting and regulatory compliance requirements. Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs); experience with BOLO or revenue accounting software is a plus. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
