Paladin Consulting is currently hiring a Benefits Leave Administrator to join our team working onsite at our client's office located in Dallas, TX. Job Title: Benefits Leave Administrator Work Location: Dallas, TX Duration: 3 month contract with option to extend or hire Education/Experience Required: 5+ years of experience and/or training in employee benefits and leave administration Job Description & Responsibilities : Under general supervision and in coordination with external vendors, administers the Company's leave of absence and accommodation programs. Responsible for research, analysis, evaluation, and administration of leave and disability policies, plans, and payments. Provides concierge-style support to employees, managers, vendors, and HR to help navigate leave and disability processes. Administer Leave Management Program in coordination with the external vendor, including reporting and compliance. Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal employee benefit laws and regulations (e.g., ADA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, ERISA, and relevant IRS and DOL regulations). Interpret FMLA, non-FMLA, ADA, and Workers' Compensation implications related to leaves and disabilities. Maintain the privacy and security of employee personal information; escalate requests for data access when parties lack a need to know. Serve as the primary point of contact for all phone, email, and mail communications related to leave processes and provide guidance on company leave policies and disability plans. Maintain employee benefit files related to LOA and disability claims (electronic and hard copy). Process short- and long-term disability payments; maintain LOA employee timecards in the payroll system and ensure they reflect applicable paid time off hours per company, state, and plan policies/laws to prevent overpayments. Assist the Benefits Manager with ADA accommodation processes. Manage Jira tickets related to leaves and benefits and meet company SLAs. Complete state and other forms related to leave claims, employment verifications, child support orders, and other related documents. Act as a liaison between employees, the third-party leave administrator, and the disability insurance provider to track documentation and ensure timely claim determination; respond to questions and issues raised by third-party administrators. Determine, collect, and process benefit premium payments while employees are on approved leave. Conduct training sessions on leave and disability practices for supervisors and managers as needed. Partner with the Benefits Manager to identify opportunities to improve leave processes and internal efficiencies. Work cross-functionally with Risk, Payroll, ADP, and HRIS to ensure seamless processes where leaves have impact. Provide backup support to other areas of Benefits as needed. Skills & Qualifications : Preferred: Bachelor's degree (4-year) 5+ years of experience and/or training in employee benefits and leave administration Strong computer, HRIS, and software skills. In-depth knowledge of FMLA, ADA, Military leave, Workers' Compensation, and other applicable federal and state laws. Previous experience supporting all aspects of Leave Management Handling employee questions Audits and supporting benefits / open enrollment. Previous experience with M&A integration is a plus.
