Summary/Objective The Retail Sales & Service Specialist provides technical, procedural and operational assistance to front-line branch staff and members ensuring smooth daily operations and compliance with Credit Union regulations. Responsibilities · Assist branch staff with issues, usage, and support of retail systems · Serve as Contact Center back up to answer calls in queue · Responsible for monitoring and responding to live chat communications with members (Eltropy) · Provide timely response to member e-mail messages sent to Credit Union · Responsible for decisioning digital account openings, reaching out to new members, and following up to share full value of membership. ie: debit card, direct deposit, partner offerings · Responsible for communicating with members via Video Chat · Provide processing assistance and support related to fraud detections via Falcon Alerts · Process and monitor member skip-a -pay transactions · Provide processing assistance and support related to member debit card dispute items · Provide overall support with Credit Union Retail Service items as needed · Support branch with garnishment and levies processing · Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Job Requirements · High school diploma or GED required. Some college level course work preferred · Two years prior banking or customer service experience · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills · Experience in assisting customers with inquires and/or problem resolution · Identifying opportunities to enhance member financial needs, goals and objectives · Professional business like appearance · Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite applications · Must have a strong interest in giving back to the community · Willingness to travel locally Competencies Stress Management Member Focus Job Knowledge Accountability Appearance & Grooming Ethics Attendance Teamwork Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs. This position may require bending, stooping or standing as necessary. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, in office role. Hours worked are not to exceed 40 hours.
