What You'll Do as a Medicaid Billing Specialist Accurately process and submit Medicaid and HUD claims, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines. Monitor and reconcile billing accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies. Prepare HUD compliance reports and maintain detailed records in accordance with federal and organizational standards. Collaborate across departments to ensure complete and accurate documentation for billing purposes. Stay informed on evolving Medicaid and HUD regulations to maintain best practices. Support audits and internal reviews related to billing and funding compliance. Qualifications for Medicaid Billing Specialists Experience: Prior work with HUD billing in a nonprofit or affordable housing context is highly preferred, Medicaid billing is a PLUS. Knowledge: Solid understanding of HUD compliance, Medicaid regulations, and federal reporting requirements. Skills: High attention to detail, proficiency in billing systems, and strong organizational skills. Communication: Comfortable working with internal teams and external agencies in a clear, collaborative manner.
