Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Supervisor: Supervise daily accounting operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll. Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met. Review reconciliations, financial reports, and staff work for accuracy and completeness. Maintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets. Collaborate with external tax accountants by preparing schedules and documentation. Mentor, train, and evaluate accounting staff, fostering a high-performing team. Recommend and implement process improvements to drive efficiency. Partner with other departments to provide financial guidance and resolve issues. Qualifications for the Accounting Supervisor: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles. Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
