Turbine Mechanic

Turbine Mechanic Skaneateles, NY 12 Months Pay: $20-22 per hour 1st Shift Hours: 7AM-3:30PM OT required based on business needs. This will be a combination of Assembly (90%) and Material Handling (10%) The successful individual will be operating in the Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) section of the business in the Turbomachinery & Process Solutions (TPS) product company. As a Turbine Mechanic, you will be responsible for: Description of Assembly duties: Assemble small component parts or sub-assemblies using basic tools such as screwdrivers, clamps, exacto-knives, Allen wrenches, tweezers, wire cutters or cotton swabs. You may be expected to work using a microscope or magnifying equipment to perform intricate sub-assemblies. The ability solder and/or learn to solder is a requirement. Must have good manual dexterity and eyesight . Must be able to read, write and use basic math; maintain a high degree of accuracy in performing repetitive tasks; work with basic chemicals. Work well in a fast-paced team environment. Can follow instructions and keep quality and safety standards high.
