Night Shift Supervisor - Plastic Injection Molding

The Night Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations during the night shift in a plastic injection molding facility. This role ensures production goals are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The Supervisor leads, trains, and supports shift personnel, troubleshoots issues with machinery and molds, and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate activities of machine operators, mold technicians, material handlers, and other production staff during the night shift. Ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and customer requirements. Perform shift startups, shutdowns, and ensure smooth transition between shifts. Oversee mold changes, machine setups, and ensure proper documentation of process parameters. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with injection molding machines, molds, auxiliary equipment, and robotics. Monitor cycle times, scrap rates, and machine efficiency, implementing corrective actions when needed. Enforce safety regulations, conduct shift safety checks, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Train, coach, and evaluate employees to improve skills, performance, and efficiency. Complete shift reports, production logs, and communicate effectively with other supervisors and management. Support and enforce 5S, lean manufacturing, and company quality initiatives.
