Technical Writer I

Job Title: Technical Writer (Onsite) Location: Naperville, IL Hours: 7am - 3pm Responsibilities include: Developing clear and concise operational instructions for process manuals and other documents. Collaborating with core team members, including operators union members, safety team, engineers, and product managers to understand product specifications and requirements. Translating complex technical concepts into clear and accurate instructions. Conducting interviews and observing work performed by various users (Operators Union employees) to gather data for documentation, such as start-up, shutdown, and changeovers. Gathering photographs and other useful media to enhance and provide visual clarification of documents. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in training or equivalent combination of education and experience, or technical writer. Minimum 2 years experience as a technical writer or service writer, preferably in the food industry or related fields. Solid technical writing skills, including the ability to research and document functionality, protocols, and processes. Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading, and editing skills along with strong verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects. Exceptional ability in creating technical documentation for non-technical persons.
