Data Scientist | Permanent | No Sponsorship Available | Requires Local Presence ABOUT OUR CLIENT A leading global company in the agriculture and genetics industry Multi-billion dollar organization with cooperative and private ownership structure Family of businesses operating across 17 countries with approximately 2,400 employees Specializes in cutting-edge genetic technologies, reproductive services, and data-driven solutions Committed to advancing agricultural innovation through data science and analytics BENEFITS & COMPENSATION Compensation: Up to $125K + 8% Bonus PTO: Comprehensive paid time off including holidays, vacation, sick time, parental leave, and volunteer time off Retirement: 401(k) with 100% company match on first 4% contributed after 6 months of employment Medical: Three high-deductible health plan options with company HSA contributions, dental and vision coverage, wellness incentives Other: Life insurance, disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance program RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE DATA SCIENTIST Analyze complex datasets to extract actionable insights that support decision-making Collaborate with engineering and product teams to develop proof-of-concept features and product improvements Transform analysis and visualization scripts into production-ready tools accessible via APIs, dashboards, and reports Gather, clean, and process data from diverse internal and external sources for downstream applications Perform targeted and exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities Partner with stakeholders to create effective reports, visualizations, and dashboards that meet their objectives Clearly communicate findings through written documents, verbal presentations, and visual displays Design, implement, and evaluate statistical and machine learning models to solve specific business challenges Optimize computational models for improved performance, accuracy, and scalability Work with product teams and engineers to refine and deploy models to production environments Maintain and enhance deployed models through feature additions and bug fixes throughout their lifecycle Keep abreast of industry trends in Data Science and share expertise across the organization Create and deliver reports, articles, and presentations on Data Science topics as needed PREFERRED EXPERIENCE FOR THE DATA SCIENTIST Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R Experience with data analysis tools and libraries like SQL, Pandas, Polars, etc. Familiarity with machine learning libraries like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc. Experience developing, deploying, and testing models/scripts via Python microservice APIs (FastAPI, etc.) Experience with Databricks data warehouse/lakehouse tools, particularly using DBT models, and the Databricks AI/ML model development and deployment ecosystem Experience building dashboards - PowerBI preferred Experience developing or working on custom models Timing is everything.
