Litigation Paralegal

Litigation Paralegal ??? Bankruptcy, Foreclosure & Debt Relief Overview: A busy law firm specializing in bankruptcy, foreclosure defense, and debt relief is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with at least 2 years of experience . Candidates may come from either plaintiff or defense litigation backgrounds but must have experience with e-filing/eCourts and an understanding of the New York CPLR . This is a client-facing role , requiring strong communication and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities: Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents in compliance with CPLR requirements. Assist attorneys with case preparation, discovery, motion practice, and trial support. Manage case files, calendars, and track litigation deadlines under CPLR. Meet with clients for intake, document collection, and case updates. Conduct basic legal research and prepare supporting case materials. Perform e-filing in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts (eCourts, PACER, CM/ECF). Communicate regularly with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years??? paralegal experience in litigation (plaintiff or defense). Working knowledge of CPLR and familiarity with New York litigation procedures. Proficiency with e-filing systems (eCourts, PACER, CM/ECF). Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail. Professional, client-facing communication skills (both verbal and written). Paralegal certificate or degree preferred. Ideal Candidate Attributes: Passionate about litigation and driven to win cases.
