Patient Care Representative/Surgical Scheduler

Description: TITLE: Patient Care Representative/Surgical Scheduler Women's Health SHIFT: Monday Friday; needs to be flexible for 8a-4:30p or 9a-5:30p as necessary DURATION: 13 weeks ***Potential for contract to hire if the need and candidate performance align*** START DATE: ASAP LOCATION: On-site at main campus (1701 N George Mason Dr., Arlington, VA) JOB SUMMARY: Schedules, meets, greets, and registers patients in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. Answers and routes telephone calls and messages. Coordinates insurance verifications and preauthorizations. Takes payments and completes daily batching. Maintains medical records and prepares charts for clinic sessions. Provides assistance as needed to physicians, Practice Manager, and clinical staff. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED College Degree Preferred. EXPERIENCE: MUST have surgery scheduler experience Two Years Office/Clerical experience REQUIRED Two Years Healthcare/Medical - Primary Care/Office experience REQUIRED Epic EMR experience REQUIRED INTERVIEW PROCESS: Due to the potential for full time placement at the end of the 13-week assignment, the application process will be a little more involved than normal. Upon submittal to the client, VHC recruitment will reach out to do an initial pre-screen interview and request that the candidate complete the employment application through VHC s online portal. They will then be asked to come on-site to do an in person interview before an offer is made.
