Key Responsibilities of the Associate Chief of Financial Planning Lead the development and oversight of school and regional budgets in partnership with senior leadership. Guide forecasting processes, conduct variance analyses, and identify strategic financial risks and opportunities. Oversee the creation of Board-level financial reports and analyses to support executive decision-making. Mentor and support finance staff on budgeting systems and processes, including Adaptive Planning. Facilitate high-level budget meetings and ensure alignment with organizational policies and goals. Drive special projects and process improvements to strengthen financial strategy and operational efficiency. Qualifications for the Associate Chief of Financial Planning Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; Master's degree strongly preferred. 7+ years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, or strategic finance leadership. Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis. Experience with Adaptive Planning and data visualization tools such as Tableau. Background in multi-state, complex organizations; experience in education, charter schools, or nonprofits is a plus.
