This is a full-time locum position with an ongoing need, ideal for a skilled PA with neurosurgical experience who enjoys both inpatient and outpatient care. Assignment Details: Start Date: As soon as credentialed Schedule: Monday - Friday, full-time Setting: Inpatient rounding (AM) + outpatient clinic (PM) Patient Volume: 10-15 patients/day EMR: Epic Credentialing Timeframe: Up to 90 days (expedited process available) WI License: Required Team Structure & Support: You will be part of a collaborative neurosurgery team that includes: 2 Neurosurgeons 4 Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) 3 Registered Nurses (RNs) 2 Medical Assistants (MAs) 4 Office Staff Members This locum PA will work closely with 1 neurosurgeon and 2 other PAs, providing comprehensive neurosurgical care. The clinic is conveniently located on the 3rd floor of Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Key Responsibilities: Conduct daily inpatient rounding each morning Provide follow-up and consultative care in the outpatient clinic each afternoon Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care Document patient encounters and care plans using Epic EMR Qualifications: Active Physician Assistant license in Wisconsin (required) Prior neurosurgery or surgical PA experience strongly preferred Ability to manage a dynamic caseload with autonomy and confidence Comfortable working in both inpatient and outpatient settings If you're eager to impact patient care and seek flexible opportunities, we'd love to hear from you!
