Full Benefits Job Details We're looking for a skilled CNC Field Service Technician to join our growing service team. This role requires frequent travel (up to 100%) to customer facilities to perform a variety of technical tasks including machine troubleshooting, repair, installation, and calibration. You'll work independently, interact with customers, and solve complex problems involving both mechanical and electrical systems. Key Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machinery at customer sites. Perform diagnostic tests using precision tools (e.g., multimeters, indicators, lasers). Align, level, and power up new or rebuilt machine tools. Rebuild mechanical sub-assemblies and replace faulty components. Tune servo systems and perform advanced CNC control operations. Read and interpret schematics, ladder logic, and mechanical diagrams. Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate effectively with internal teams and customers. Train operators and maintenance personnel on system functionality and best practices. Travel regularly, often on short notice, to client facilities across the U.S. Preferred Skills & Experience 3+ years in CNC machine tool service, repair, or equivalent technical support role. Strong knowledge of CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, etc.). Understanding of parametric programming and ladder logic. Capable of interpreting complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Experience using Renishaw ballbar or laser calibration tools (preferred, not required). Mechanical fitting/scraping experience is a plus. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or bend for extended periods.
