Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Inventory Coordinator to join our healthcare team. This role is pivotal in establishing and maintaining optimal inventory levels and ensuring patient care requirements are met according to standard departmental inventory management practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing inventory, replenishing owned and consignment inventory, and confirming patient billing has occurred. The role also involves "on-call" coverage and working collaboratively with a team of professionals to meet patient needs and provide high-quality patient care. Responsibilities: Establish and maintain acceptable inventory levels of owned and consigned implants. Arrange for loaner implants and instruments when indicated by patient care requirements. Secure inventory and replenish owned and consignment inventory through PMM inventory manager. Match implant usage with patient charge forms and inventory issues. Work with clinical service coordinators and review the Surgical Schedule in advance to anticipate the need for implants and loaned instruments. Receive and identify loaned instruments and implants, account for their usage, charging, documentation, and ensure vendor payment. Follow policy for the introduction of new products and utilize Rapid Cycle approval when necessary. Assist in developing and maintaining appropriate inventory through use of issues, return to stock, reconciliation of issues vs exception noted, receiving inventory, and performing cycle counts. Consult with vendor representatives and Operating Room POD managers on a regular basis. Assist Materiel Services and OR Management in the product recall program. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training preferred. 3+ years of experience in materials management, OR, purchasing, or accounting. Ability to apply theory and put it into practice with an in-depth understanding of the professional field. Ability to analyze problems/issues of diverse scope and determine solutions. Strong knowledge and understanding of Joint Commission requirements in tissue procurement and documentation. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a team. Experience with complex procurement assignments where analysis of situations or data requires a review of operating room schedules and surgeon requests.
