This Director will oversee technical design, development, and implementation across projects, and manage developer performance to ensure timely task completion. Why join us? Job Details Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of software developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Oversee all phases of software development, from initial concept and design to testing and implementation. Develop strategic plans for the software development department, setting short-term and long-term objectives. Ensure the development and implementation of efficient, robust, and high-quality software. Collaborate with other departments to understand their software needs and develop solutions to meet these needs. Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and industry trends, integrating them into our software development processes where appropriate. Ensure the security and integrity of our software, implementing preventative measures and addressing any issues promptly. Regularly review and evaluate our software solutions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on J2EE, Visual Basic, C++, SQL Server, ASP, OOD, and COM. Experience in Supply Chain and Business Application systems (ERP) and terminology is a must Experience with XML, Java, UNIX, Oracle and DB2 Proven experience in a leadership role, with a track record of leading and mentoring a team of software developers. Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner. Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
