The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager on behalf of our client to lead and oversee the AP function at their downtown Chicago headquarters. This is a great opportunity to join a stable and growth-oriented organization where you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of all Accounts Payable processes. This is a hybrid role with three days in-office and two remote. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Oversee daily AP operations and maintain integrity of the AP sub-ledger. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data accuracy and process efficiency. Develop, implement, and maintain AP policies, procedures, and internal controls. Lead testing and implementation efforts for SAP upgrades and enhancements. Analyze and report on key AP metrics; provide insights and recommendations. Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and support departmental initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience. At least 7 years AP supervisory experience required. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with large ERP systems required (SAP strongly preferred). Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex processes effectively. Motivated self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment.
