Mobile Certified Phlebotomist - Full-time - Dublin, OH Full-time position needing an experienced Float / Mobile Phlebotomist (CPT) of at least 2 years, with average of 30 to 45 sticks per day, to join as a permanent member of our team to provide specimen collection, venipuncture, accuracy, and professionalism. Will travel to cover other locations as needed, including Columbus, Cincinnati, and West Virginia ( Overnight stays may be required - All travel, training, Per Diem covered) SHIFT: Mon to Fri, 8a - 5p (FT, 40 hours/week guaranteed) Starts with immediate Benefits - Full list of Benefits & Perks below SALARY: $19.28/hr - $22.36/hr | based on experience ADDITIONAL PAY : Mileage reimbursement, Quarterly Bonus, Tuition Assistance REQUIREMENTS : 2 to 3 years of Phlebotomy experience Float/Travel experience Average of 30 - 40 sticks per day Reliable transportation, current Driver's License Auto insurance No more than 3 minor driving records in one year CPT Certification (Certified Phlebotomy Tech) Ability to travel with possible overnight stays. Ensures all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time. Collects specimens according to established procedures. Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required. Reduces patient anxiety by providing a calm environment for patients before, during and after the collection process. Disposes of blood or other biohazard fluids or tissue, in accordance with applicable laws, standards, or policies. Disposes of contaminated sharps, in accordance with applicable laws, standards, and policies. Enters patient, specimen, insurance, or billing information into computer. Requires attention to detail to maintain high level of accuracy. Communicate with clients to confirm handwritten orders, verify test(s) ordered, obtain accurate billing information, i.e. diagnosis codes, UPIN information, etc. Matches laboratory requisition forms. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order. Package specimens for transport. Stores specimen sample according to required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container/ tube, accurately labels to maintain integrity of the specimen. Demonstrates proficiency of proper collection methods and proper processing of all specimens. Maintains required records and documentation. Maintains daily records and all appropriate PSC/IOP Phlebotomy logs. Utilizes time appropriately. Capable of maintaining fluctuating patient flow. Performs duties in independent manner.
