Job Details Essential Duties & Responsibilities Maintain 100% uptime of critical systems Train to serve as a First Responder to critical infrastructure alarms Accurately and promptly complete work orders Handle tools and equipment with precision and care Adhere to all company Safety Policies and Procedures Work with vendors/contractors to ensure compliance with Switch standards Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions Perform collateral duties and tasks as assigned by management Attend meetings and training sessions as required Maintain a professional appearance Additional tasks as assigned Required Skills Minimum 2 years of related experience in the general field as a full-time employee Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in a data center environment, including: Electrical feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, DC power, ATS/STS, PDUs, breakers, batteries, load bank connections CRACs, AHUs, fluid coolers, pumps, cages, fire suppression systems Knowledge of data center safety, electrical, and cooling designs Ability to work any shift in a 24x7x365 operation (including weekends/holidays) Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Basic typing, email, and computer proficiency Tools & Software Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Education & Certifications Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical Trade School in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics preferred Preferred Certifications: Outlook Fundamentals OSHA 10 Material Equipment Operator (MEO) First Aid/CPR NFPA-70E (Arc Flash) Golf Cart Safety Data Center University Building Fire Riser Fire Extinguisher Interested in hearing more?
