The organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its established finance team. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, this Senior Accountant position offers exposure to both traditional financial reporting and grant-related compliance in a mission-driven environment. What You'll Do as a Senior Accountant The Senior Accountant will: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Perform journal entries and general ledger reconciliations. Oversee compliance with grant agreements, including financial reporting and deliverables. Support the preparation of the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA). Assist with external audits, site visits, and compliance reviews. Review grant budgets and reimbursement requests. Manage subrecipient and contractor agreements for compliance. Design and deliver training on grants' fiscal management. Assist the Senior Accountant team with inventory counts, fixed assets, and year-end reporting. What the Company Needs in a Senior Accountant The ideal Senior Accountant will bring: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (required). 2+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. Experience in multi-entity organizations is a plus. Analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.
