Cost Accountant

Our client, a well-established manufacturer and government contractor, is seeking a Cost Accountant to support their expanding operations. This is a newly created position designed to take over cost accounting responsibilities currently managed by the CFO, allowing them to shift focus toward broader operational initiatives. 100% on-site! Salary: $90,000 - $105,000 Cost Accountant Offering: Excellent medical and dental coverage (majority of premiums paid by company). Great work-life balance with minimal overtime. Cost Accountant Requirements: Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of accounting experience, with a strong focus in cost accounting and manufacturing. Familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor experience is a plus, not required). Exposure to DCAA/FAR or government contracting is a plus, but not required-client is willing to train. Cost Accountant Responsibilities: Own and manage all cost accounting functions. Analyze and report on manufacturing costs, variances, and margins. Partner with the CFO and Controller to support financial reporting and operations. Assist in streamlining accounting processes and implementing best practices.
