Engineering Manager

OverviewWe're opportunistically hiring an engineering manager focused on product engineering. For this role, you MUST start off as an IC, and you MUST write code.As Replo grows, so will your scope. You'll set technical direction, mentor engineers, and define best practices across the team. This will evolve into managing teams and working directly with the co-founders, while shipping great products and staying close to the code.Base pay range$200,000.00/yr - $500,000.00/yrCompensation Range: $200K - $500KResponsibilitiesLead and grow a team of exceptional engineers, providing mentorship and guidance to help them succeed and thrive.Deeply understand customer needs and pain points to prioritize work and deliver solutions that drive real impact.Own project execution end-to-end "” planning, architecture, and delivery "” while maintaining high quality and predictable timelines.Collaborate with high-visibility teams and stakeholders to drive critical product and platform initiatives forward.Provide hands-on technical leadership, from system architecture and design to incident response and roadmap definition.Work every day with founders to shape and execute on the long-term vision for Replo's AI platform.Partner with our Chief of Staff to attract top-tier engineering talent and define hiring strategies as the team scales.What you'll be working onArchitecting and implementing full-stack product features. Real examples include "”Enable merchants to sell anything, anywhere, including subscriptions, dropshipping, and digital products in one platformBuild agentic workflows that design and build online shops for anyone, from SaaS startups to M&MsBuild out product & payments processing infrastructure for millions of usersIngest billions of events/month using Kafka + ClickHouse, powering real-time dashboards and automating marketing strategiesOwn our user onboarding and billing flow from end-to-endMinimum RequirementsHas a CS degree (or equivalent)Can be in office 3-4 days/week in San Francisco5+ years of professional experience in software developmentAt least 2+ years of tech lead/engineering managementExperience leading projects on a cross-team or company-wide scaleUses Cursor/Windsurf/GPT to accelerate their workHas built products 0 -> 1 with real users and revenueIs OK operating independently without product/designIs ALWAYS SHIPPING.
