Overview Senior Account Executive, Health & Life Science Communications role at FleishmanHillard. We are seeking energetic professionals who are self-starters, collaborative, and passionate about health & life sciences communications. The role involves working on communications programs for leading healthcare brands, developing relationships with healthcare industry clients, and managing outreach to media, third-party organizations, healthcare professionals, and consumers. You will support projects such as celebrity and influencer campaigns, data milestones, awareness days, and disease education programs as part of an integrated team. Responsibilities Play a pivotal role in day-to-day activities for the health and life science practice's account teams, collaborating with senior team members to oversee projects, connect across healthcare and agency teams, and provide client counsel. Facilitate teamwork within the account team; coordinate resources and create opportunities for junior staff to take on more responsibility; utilize agency resources to assemble strong teams for clients. Develop high-quality written materials, including pitch letters, press materials, social copy, and client correspondence. Support the implementation of strategic plans and communications campaigns aligned with client objectives and delivered results. Develop relationships and coordinate outreach with external audiences: third-party organizations, healthcare professionals, media, etc. Prepare internal and client-facing recaps and reports to showcase work and identify opportunities for future engagements. Qualifications Minimum of 3+ years experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare communications within a communications agency. A strong desire to work in the evolving field of healthcare and communications. Strategic thinking with the ability to anticipate issues and translate insights into actionable ideas. Collaborative team member and leader with strong project management and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Ability to communicate clinical data in lay language for diverse stakeholders. Understanding of digital media in integrated communications, including traditional, digital, and social media in healthcare. Ability to contribute to strategic outreach plans via social platforms, third-party organizations, healthcare professionals, and media. Experience supervising and training junior account staff, providing quality control, and determining workflow. Excellent writing and editing skills for press materials and communications plans; ability to develop compelling media pitch angles. Strong client relationship skills and the ability to represent FH and client companies to key stakeholders. Commitment to cultivating diverse teams and an inclusive working environment.
