Overview Patreon is a media and community platform where over 300,000 creators give their biggest fans access to exclusive work and experiences. We offer creators a variety of ways to engage with their fans and build a lasting business including paid memberships, free memberships, community chats, live video, and selling to fans directly with one-time purchases. Our goal is to fund the creative class. We have: $10 billion+ generated by creators since Patreon's inception; 100 million+ free memberships for fans who may not be ready to pay yet; and 25 million+ paid memberships on Patreon today. About The Team The Discovery team helps fans explore and connect with creators. We build key surfaces like the homepage feed, search, explore, notifications, and email that introduce fans to new creators and content. The team spans mobile, web, and backend engineering, working with design, PM, and GTM partners to deliver fan-forward experiences aligned with our genre-focused roadmap. About The Role We're hiring an Engineering Manager to lead our Discovery engineering team. You will manage engineers across iOS, Android, web, and backend, working on discovery experiences. You'll partner with cross-functional leaders to ship new UX, drive iteration on surfaces like Feed and Search, and shape how fans engage on Patreon daily. You will also partner with the Relevance leads to connect ML ranking models to these product experiences. About You 2+ years of engineering management in a cross-platform team (preferably mobile, web, backend) You've led the development of consumer-facing product features You're comfortable with fast-paced iteration, design review, and UX work You know how to build a healthy, high-trust engineering culture You're excited about helping fans discover creators You're aligned with Patreon's mission to fund the creative class Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or the equivalent About Patreon Patreon powers creators to do what they love and get paid by the people who love what they do.
