Overview We are seeking a Manager of Processing Engineering to lead a department of up to 20 Process Engineers within our high-complexity refinery. This role requires a strategic leader with deep technical expertise who can provide direction, mentorship, and support for both seasoned professionals and recent graduates, ensuring operational excellence and innovation in processing technologies. Direct message the job poster from Work/Life Recruiting Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Lead, manage, and mentor a team of approximately 20 Process Engineers across multiple refinery units. Provide coaching, career development, and training pathways for both experienced engineers and early-career talent. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Technical & Operational Excellence Oversee refinery process optimization, troubleshooting, and unit performance improvement. Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards. Support capital projects, process design, and technology implementation. Drive initiatives to reduce costs, improve yields, and enhance energy efficiency. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with operations, maintenance, HSE, and project teams to align engineering efforts with plant performance goals. Provide technical expertise to leadership teams and contribute to strategic decision-making. Serve as a key liaison with external stakeholders, consultants, and technology providers. Qualifications Bachelor/'s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline; Master/'s preferred. 10+ years of experience in process engineering within petroleum refining, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of managing engineering teams and delivering measurable improvements in refinery performance. Strong knowledge of refining processes, safety regulations, and industry best practices. Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Success in this Role Builds and leads a high-performing team of engineers. Delivers consistent operational improvements across refinery units. Ensures compliance, safety, and efficiency in all engineering activities. Develops talent pipelines for future engineering leaders.
